Embrace Nature by Shane Gilmore in Ennis
This is an interesting piece by Shane Gilmore because there is so many facets to it that it requires a 360 degree walk around to see all the elements.........

........A couple is depicted embracing and surrounding them are fish, birds and mammals intertwined in a panorama of wildlife set in limestone.
A part of the Ennis Riverside Sculpture Trail the work was completed in 1997 and stands at the Wood Quay car park on the curve of the River Fergus and is one of many such sculptures spread throughout the town.
The artist Shane Gilmore a local, has an impressive portfolio of public and private works including 'Helping Hands' which can be seen at the Cathedral and 'A Private Remembers' sited at the Old Military Barracks on the Kilrush Road he can be contacted through his website.

The shot is just one aspect of this sculpture and was taken when a light drizzle was falling.
