Party Hotspot | Stag and Hen

Traditional Irish Music Enjoying A Music Session
In Cruises
If you are planning to party in the Stag and Hen capital of the west then you will need to sort out your accommodation as early as possible because every weekend there are batchelor parties here, they come from all over including the UK and the summer months are especially hectic.

Save time by checking Booking.com for great deals, room availability and no booking fee.

Our top recommendation for your party would be the centrally located Queens which is the hotel of choice for such events and it has its own nightclub which is an added bonus and Cruises music pub is also a part of it.

Close By | The Burren, The Cliffs, Limerick, Galway

Located close to the two major jewels in the crown of the west, the Burren that unique and fragile landscape and the towering Cliffs of Moher makes Ennis a perfect place to base yourself for a few days of sightseeing and relaxation in a county where things move at a refreshingly laid back pace.

A Tale Of Two Cities
The fact that two such contrasting cities, Galway and its famous Bay to the north and Limerick on the Shannon River to the south east are in such close proximity is also a strong point in favour of setting up camp in the county seat.

Music and Meals

Traditional Irish Music
In the evening there may be music, usually free of charge, and it can continue on into the night. Take note, nothing starts too early here.

Click the link to find music sessions in the town.

The best sessions can be enjoyed nightly at Cruises and Tom Steeles at weekends.

If you are dropping in for a quick drink or to savour the local culture with a pub meal, then we have recommendations for you which are listed in our best Ennis Pubs section which includes contact details and locations.

Eateries and Fine Dining
There is no reason for a visitor to be hungry in Ennis.

Menu at Knoxs Knox's | Great Lunch Menu

The town has plenty of fast food outlets as well as a variety of pub fare offered at excellent prices. Ennis also has some of the finest dining experiences in all of Ireland.

Many of the restaurants offer "Early Bird Specials" which add to the value of the dining experience and these early menu's are prominently advertised to passers-by.

Our favourites are Knoxs Pub and Bistro, The Market Bar, The Queens, Cruises, The Rowan Tree and Brogans for main meals while Dan O'Connell's, Souper and The Diamond are great for light lunches.

International Cuisine
Apart from local tastes there are a number of high quality, good value restaurants with top class international dishes. You can choose from Chinese, Indian, Thai and Italian to enjoy your particular favourite in the way of ethnic cooking.

Amenities

You can pursue almost any outdoor activity you can think of including Golf, Trekking, Sea Kayaking and Surfing. Click the links for details.

The Market Area
The market area can be accessed from both O'Connell Street (at Market St. opp. Dunnes Main Entrance) and Parnell Street by following the lanes and alleyways and it consists of outdoor stalls selling everything from detergent to potted plants to leather boots and shoes.

Usually the best days are Friday and Saturday and there is also a Farmer's market where fresh farm produce is on sale.

When you have had enough browsing through the stalls there are lots bars and cafes in which to rest from the bustle and Souper in Merchants Square is a favourite of ours.
