Eugenes Entrance Ennistymon
Ennistymon is a market town on the edge of the Burren a 25 minute drive from Ennis and when we are passing through a stop off at Eugene's is usually on the cards......

........A quirky little place but full of interesting memorabillia with not a spare inch left uncovered on either the walls or the ceiling. Notable among them is the 'Fr Ted' (TV sitcom) souvenirs and the large framed Lisdoonvarna Festival Posters which adorn a whole section of wall space, five in all dating from 1978 to 1982 with names like Rory Gallagher and Jackson Browne appearing on the bill.
The famous cascades are a great spectacle after a bout of heavy rain and they can be accessed through an entrance off the main street. There is a pathway from there which winds down to the Falls Hotel but care needs to be taken if you take this route when its wet.
With Lahinch just 2 miles away Ennistymon is not as crowded and can offer a bit of comfort during a day's sightseeing, there are plenty of places to eat and nice little shops to browse through and worth taking time out to have a wander about.
The shot shows the entance to Eugene's Pub and above the door you can see two little scenes, on the left is 'The Wedding' and the other is 'The Proposal'. Yep.... It's interesting in Ennistymon!
