Lady With Butterflies Street Art Ennis
A lady crouches beside a stream with a box from which she has just freed a host of colourful butterflies......
Street Art | Ennis
........But why were the butterflies in the box, who brought it to the stream and who is the lady?
Plenty of questions but no answers and yet another anonymous mural with no artistic credit, not that you would expect it to be signed but it wasn't sprayed on by a delinquent that's for sure!
This one would have taken a bit of time to do as it is etched on to a porous un-plastered concrete wall and a whole colour palette of crayons or whatever the material used would have been needed to complete the scene.
The lady with the butterflies is located in the Friary car park outside the Clare Museum and is one of a series of striking pieces of this type of art to be seen throughout the town.
[Other Art works are the Face located in the Alley alongside Knox's, and two scenes depicting Fresian cattle one on the wall at Glor and the other in Harmony Row at the Rowan Tree Hostel and the 3 figures on the Clare Museum wall.]
