My Great Grand Uncle Michael G. Considine is buried in the Abbey. He was responsible for the money raised to build the Daniel O'Connell Monument in Ennis.

He was also Secretary of Trades. There is a window cut into the wall to view his grave.

The photo of Michael G. Considine is of him pointing to the O'Connell Monument at it's unveiling.

Michael G Considine NEW
by: Madeleine

I believe Michael lived in or near Brewery Lane, at the back of TV Honan's as it was known.
My Great Grandparents also lived on Brewery Lane, but it has all changed since then.

Window to view Michael Considine Cross
by: Madeleine

The window was once a doorway through which Michael's body entered. In March 1924 The Considine Committee's decision was to re open up part of the doorway and install an iron railing so his grave could be seen by passers by.

Some of the above is a quote from documents dated 24th March 1924
