Shannon Airport Control Tower
Shannon Airport (SNN) County Clare serves European and North American destinations and is under the management of the Dublin Airport Authority (DAA). See website.
Below please find, Distance Chart and Bus Timetable Download.
Shannon is small by international airport standards so you cannot go wrong once you are inside the terminal for departing flights.
The airport has the distinction of having the world's first Duty Free Shop which opened in 1947 and is still serving customers today.
On the ground floor level you will find the arrivals hall, information desk, money exchange and airline check-in desks.
While the departure gates are accessed through a second floor entrance which leads to the security scanner and the duty free shops and bars as well as the departure lounge and U.S. pre clearance facility.

Once you have cleared immigration, baggage and customs you naturally enough emerge into the arrivals hall and you will immediately see the car hire desks directly facing you and the airport Information Desk is to the left of them.
Note the information desk faces to the right as you come out and is only 20 paces away but is almost sideways on to your first view and may be obscured by people waiting for passengers to emerge from the baggage area, so to find it easily move forward towards the car hire area and look to your left.
PRM Assistance
If you have pre-booked wheelchair or other assistance then your attendant will meet you at the aircraft door and stay with you until you are either met by a pre-arranged contact or are being served by car hire or other personnel who will take over your welfare from that point.
Bank and Money Exchange
There is a Bank up the hall from the information desk which is accessed by turning left on emerging from the baggage hall (keeping the info desk to your right), it is open daily and there are ATM's beside it.
There is a Bureau De Change on the ground floor level though not visible from the arrivals section as it is actually in the departure check-in area.
Ask at the information desk or else locate it by starting with the information desk directly behind you and walk past the book shop and the newsagents which are in front and to the right, carry on past the escalator which leads to the 2nd level and then take a sharp right when you come upon the check-in area.
Car Hire
You really should have your car pre-booked, not only do you get much better car hiredeals but also the vehicle of your choice which is more relaxing when you get out on the road, and don't forget it is left hand side driving here!
Don't worry though it is just the same as driving anywhere. Honest!
