Arriving Into Ennis from Dublin
Rail arrivals to Ennis from Dublin originate at Dublin's south and south-west hub which is called Hueston Station and is located 1.5 miles west of the city centre upstream on the River Liffey, a 10 minute bus trip.

Train To Ennis From Dublin
The routes serving Ennis are either direct or a connecting service on the following destinations, Limerick, Cork or Tralee (changing at Limerick Junction) check the Irish Rail site for timetables.

Dublin Bus To/From Heuston Station
The station is served by Airlink buses direct from Dublin Airport as well as the regular Dublin Bus routes.

Route number 90 (or 91 also) links the Central Bus Station named Busarus to Heuston Bus and Rail Station via the city centre. See the timetable at
(Note: you must cross the street to Connolly Rail Station which is opposite Busaras, ask at the info desk or see map on site.)

There is also another bus the #145 which serves the station from south Dublin/north Wicklow areas via the seaside resort of Bray.

Bus Tickets
Tickets are available at the station and throughout the city in newsagents with the Dublin Bus Logo sign and from the arrivals hall at the airport or you can pay with cash on boarding.

The bus fare at the time of writing is 2.30 Euro one way on the above 2 routes and as they serve the airport they have been modified to have ample space for baggage and Airlink fare each way is 6 Euro.

There are pre-paid tickets available which offer unlimited travel for 1 day or 1 week which will save you cash if you intend to take several bus trips. Check them out when purchasing your ticket.

LUAS Light Rail To Heuston Station
Dublin's light rail system called the Luas runs from Conolly via Busaras the Central Bus Station to Heuston Station via the city centre and the journey takes approx 20 minutes.

Luas tickets are available from vending machines at each stop and cost roughly the same as the bus trip and the trams are frequent. Check the LUAS site for special ticket deals.

Arriving From Galway Train Station
Galway Bus and Rail Station is situated in Eyre Square in the heart of the city and there are several services to Limerick via Ennis daily. Check Irish Rail for current timetables.

Arriving From Cork Train Station
Cork Rail Station is situated in on Glanmire Road a 10 minute walk from Patrick Street via McCurtain Street in the city centre and once again there are several services to Ennis via Limerick Junction and Limerick daily.

(usually the Cork to Dublin service connecting at Limerick Jct.)

Ennis Bus and Rail Station is located on the Quin Road 50 meters from the roundabout at the junction with Station Road.

The station directly links the town to the cities of Limerick and Galway with connections to all other places served by Irish Rail which is the national carrier and beyond to the European mainland and the UK via Rail Europe.

Once you have arrived at Ennis Rail Station you will find taxis ready to take you to your accommodation or you can walk to the town centre in about 5 minutes by heading up Station Rd. towards the Cathedral.

Dublin Bus To/From Dublin Airport to City
Apart from the Airlink service there are two regular routes which serve the city center direct from the terminal.

Bus From Dublin Sea Port
If you are arriving through the seaport the bus route you need is number 53 from the ferryport to the city centre and connecting to Heuston Station (#90).

Bus From Dun Laoghaire Ferryport to City
There is no direct bus from here instead take the northbound (Howth) DART or Dublin Area Rapid Transit train to Connolly from the railway station which is close to the ferry pier.
